Former Mississippi Star, Jamie Brown, from West Lauderdale High School, was drafted in the 21st Round of the 1996 Major League Draft by the Cleveland Indians and broke into the big leagues on May 20, 2004 with the Boston Red Sox.

Jamie Brown also played one year in Japan.
